Generals in the Game: college and pro stars from Grant High School

Paris Penn has settled into a pivital role for Portland State.

Recently there’s been a number of former Grant football players that have moved on to play at higher levels. That means that each weekend after Friday night’s game we have a slew of former PIL stars to entertain us on the national stage.

Each Tuesday after the completion of the Monday Night Football game we will have a round up of all of the former Generals and their performances that week for their respective teams.

Kenneth Acker, corner, San Fansisco 49ers: 4 tackles in a 20-3 win over Minnesota.

Ndamukong Suh, defensive tackle, Miami Dolphins: 2 tackles in a 17-10 win over Washington.

Aiden Schneider, kicker, Oregon: 4-4 in extra point attempts in a 31-28 loss at Michigan State.

Paris Penn, utility quarterback, Portland State: 6 rushes for 45 yards and 1 touchdown to go along with 2 catches for 20 yards in 34-14 win over Idaho State.

If there are any former Generals that we’ve missed leave a comment that includes their name and where they are currently playing and we will include them in the weeks to come. Remember that we are the KOIN 6 game of the week this week. So bring your friends and show up to pack the stands at Madison for this great match-up to open PIL competition.

Go Generals!

    HI,

First time writing to you guys!!! This twitter thing is amazing. One former general that is still playing is Cordell Harris at D3 school Occidental, he had a 5 catch 66 yard performance for the tigers. Harris helped those mighty Tigers take down the Loggers 46-41.
